Welcome to the Sacramento Turtle and Tortoise Club!

Felice Rood founded the Sacramento Turtle and Tortoise Club in April of 1981, and at its peak had nearly 1,000 members. Felice passed away in October of 2021. Felice produced and published one of the earliest videos on the care of turtles and tortoises in captivity. These videos are available on her YouTube channel.

The Club was relaunched in 2005 and is now a registered non-profit organization. The focus, as under Felice's leadership, is education, rescue, and support.
